Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before registering for Scrimshire's Scramble as they contain important information about your wellbeing and safety.
By registering, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. You are acknowledging that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions and you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you are not authorised to enter Scrimshire's Scramble organised by North Leverton Windmill Trust (NLWT).
1. Ownership. I am a participant and acknowledge that by participating in the event, I agree to the Terms and Conditions set out below. I also understand that I am entering into a contract with NLWT.
2. Registration. Participants must complete the registration process in full, providing accurate and up-to-date information. Registration is only transferable should the participant be unable to attend the event. In this instance, they shall email the Race Director at scrimshires.scramble@gmail.com. NLWT reserves the right to reject any registration at its discretion. Minimum age for entry is 16 years old on the day of the race (in keeping with United Kingdom Athletics rule RULE 141 S 5 UKA "" TRAIL RUNNING. Any participant below the age of 18 years old will need to be accompanied by their parent at the event HQ (the Windmill) in case of emergency.
3. Payment, Cancellations and Refunds. Payments for race registration must be made, in full, at the time of registration. Accepted payment methods will be communicated during the registration process. NLWT reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event due to unforeseen circumstances, including, but not limited to; extreme weather conditions, governmental regulations or force majeure. Under these circumstances we will do all we can to reschedule the race, but there is no guarantee. Payment for entry is final in normal circumstances; no refunds shall be given.
4. Health & Safety. Participants must be in good health and physically prepared to undertake the chosen race distance. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate fitness level and medical clearance to participate, where necessary. NLWT reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual deemed unfit or incapable of safely completing the race. Please email info@scrimshiresscramble.co.uk with any concerns.
5. Race Conduct. Participants must follow the instructions of race officials and comply with all race rules and regulations. Participants must display good sportsmanship and respect fellow participants, volunteers, and spectators. The race organisers will not accept any form of physical or verbal abuse or assaults in person or through any communications prior to the event taking place, on race day or thereafter. Any participant found to be in violation of race rules, engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct and or, abuse of race organisers and or volunteers will likely be removed from the event.
6. Photography & Media. NLWT reserves the right to use photographs, videos, and other media captured during the race for promotional purposes. Participants grant NLWT the irrevocable right to use their name, likeness, and image in any such promotional materials without compensation or notification. If you wish your photographs to be removed from any race albums, please apply in writing to info@scrimshiresscramble.co.uk.
7. Liability Waiver. Participation in the race is at the participant's own risk. NLWT, its affiliates, volunteers and partners shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by participants during the race, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
8. Miscellaneous. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between NLWT and participants, superseding any prior agreements or understandings. The organisers are not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings, other than caused because of NLWT negligence. NLWT reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, with amendments becoming effective upon publication on the NLWT website or other official communication channels.
